Jean Ruth Kropf, age 94, passed away peacefully at Greenwood Court, Stratford on October 11, 2019. Born in Hespeler, Ontario, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Florence (Wingfield) Gilders. Beloved wife for 70 years of the late Clarence Kropf who predeceased her October 5, 2018. Loving mother of sons Grant (Cheryl) of Point Clark and David (Yvonne) of Waterloo. Predeceased by son William (Rosemary) and by her brother Ross Gilders (Ruth). She will be missed by her 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Jean attended Benton Street Baptist Church in Kitchener for many years where she enjoyed singing in the choir. More recently she attended Greenwood Court Church, Stratford. Jean and Clarence enjoyed spending time at their cottage in Inverhuron and later at Fisherman’s Cove near Lucknow before moving to Greenwood Court in 1999. Visitation at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Thursday, October 17, from 7-9 p.m. A celebration of life service will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 1 p.m. A reception will follow. Interment at Memory Gardens, Breslau. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful staff at Greenwood Court who have treated both Mom and Dad with such loving care.
