Jane Stratton Robinson, of Komoka, passed away peacefully at home on October 15, 2019. Born in Stratford, November 18, 1957. Jane was a fighter who took on every challenge life threw her way with kindness, humour and an infectious laugh. She made friends for life: buddies like Lenor, Marie, Sophie and others go back half a century. No surprise. Jane was loyal, the best at remembering birthdays and shared memories. Jane is also beloved for her contributions to Stratford’s music scene. She could chord songs without a score, and her deep, rich voice perfectly captured the deep emotions in country music. Jane was beloved life partner of Max (Heinz) Zid. Mother of Jessica Stratton, Steve Marlin (Lucy), and Carrie Lynn Utting (Pete). Devoted grandmother of Braeden, Caitlynn and Matthew, Maria, Wilder, Mateo and Solomon, Nickolas, Tyler, William and Lucas. Sister of Allan (Daniel) and Clark. Aunt of Kelsey, Tori and Rebecca. Jane was predeceased by her parents John H. Stratton and Rheta (Clark) Stratton. Visitation at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Thursday, October 24, from 1 – 3 p.m. followed by a memorial celebration of her life at 3 pm. Everyone is encouraged to bring an instrument and prepare to celebrate.
