It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our father, James Laval Bauman.
Jim passed away suddenly at home, on Saturday, October 5, 2019 with family by his side, the age of 76.
Predeceased by his dear wife Elizabeth Bauman of 56 years.
Loving father of Christine Boyko (Dave) and Kevin Bauman (Erica) and the late Gregory Bauman.
Cherished Grampa of Andrew (Stephanie), Danielle (Cody), Bradley and Justin and proud great-granpa of Maverick.
Dear brother of Dorothy Lehmann (Jim).
Survived by his nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents Eva and Alvin Bauman and Viola Kurt, his brothers; David and Doug Kurt and his sister Marjorie Schauber.
«Mr. B» / «JB» was a long standing alumni member for the KW Braves Lacrosse Association and the Junior Braves Lacrosse Team.
Jim’s family will receive relatives and friends from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Visitation will continue on Friday, October 11, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. – 3:45 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 4:00 p.m. Reception to follow. Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Grand River Hospital Foundation – Cancer Centre or the St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
