Passed peacefully away at the Leonard A Miller Centre, with his family by his side, Irvin Walter Vaters of Pouch Cove, Age 74. Predeceased by his parents Gordon and Jessie Vaters, brothers, Eugene, Harris and Perry, brother- in- law Douglas Barfoot, sisters- in- law Louise and Mary Vaters, in laws Ernest & Faith Toope, brothers- in- law Stuart Toope , Sidney King and Albert Dalton sisters- in-law, Jessie Toope, Evelyn Toope, Audrey Ivany and Geraldine Garland. Left with fond and loving memories his wifeof 50 years Ruby two dearly loved children son Rodney (Catherine) daughter Krista (Leonard) Bailey two cherished grandchildren whom he adored Maddison Cook Vaters and Brandon Bailey; brothers Lindbergh (Loretta), Lionel (Rosemary), sister Phyllis Barfoot. Also leaving to mourn brothers- in-law Hedley (Kathleen) Toope, Calvin (Fay Wheaton) Toope, Stirling Ivany and Fred Garland sister-in-law Erma Dalton and fur baby Blackie and many special nieces and nephews, relatives and friends who thought so much about him. Resting at Cauls Funeral Home, Torbay with visitation on Saturday, October 19 from 2 p.m.-9 p.m. and Sunday, October 20 from 2 p.m.-9 p.m. Funeral service to take place from Memorial United Church, Pouch Cove on Tuesday, October 22,2019, at 2 p.m. Inurnment to follow from United Church Cemetery, Pouch Cove Line. As an expression of Sympathy, Donations may be made to The ALS Society or Memorial United Church, Pouch Cove.
