Henry Robert Stobbe, age 46, of Stratford, passed away peacefully with family by his side at the University Hospital, London on October 26, 2019. Born on January 8, 1973 in Kitchener, son of Gisela Stobbe and the late Henry Stobbe.
Henry was involved in the food industry as a chef/kitchen manager for over 20 years at The Queen’s Inn of Stratford. Respected by many for his work ethic and love for the job. As Henry would always say, “Just give a shit” and all would be good.
He’s remembered most for his sense of humor and devoted love for his family. He was so proud of his two children and loved his wife deeply. Family was everything to him.
Survived by his wife Emily (Brodhagen). Loving father of Henry and Hannah. Brother of Mona Stobbe, Lisa Stobbe (Debbie), Andrew Stobbe (Becky). Brother-in-law of Aaron Brodhagen (Katy), Josh Brodhagen (Amy). Also survived by his father-in-law and mother-in-law John and Judy Brodhagen and nieces and nephews Francesca, Katrina, Quinn, Dylan, Samantha, Andy, Trystan, Jace, Ryan, Bennett and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of Henry’s life will be held at the Queen’s Inn, 161 Ontario Street, Stratford on Saturday, November 9, from 2-4 p.m. Come and go as you please. Casual dress. All welcome.
