Peacefully at Caressant Care Nursing Home Cobden October 29, 2019 in her 81st year surrounded by family. Gladys Schruder formerly of Perth, beloved wife of the late Irwin Griffith. Loving mother of Wayne (Jennifer) Griffith and Glenn Griffith, and by first marriage Paul (Jean) Gombar and Laszol (Arlene) Gombar. She will be missed by grandchildren Ryan Amanda, Colin, Taylor Griffith, Matthew Gombar and Ellen Downie. Gladys is great-grandmother to Bentley, Braelynn, Preslyn and Jaycein. She is survived by her loving sister Doreen (late Albert Schroeder) and her brother Herbert Jr. (Loretta) also by her sisters-in-law Freida, Florence and Darlene. Gladys is predeceased by her parents Herbert and Ada Schruder (Pilatzke) as well as her siblings Lenora, infant brother Esmond, Willard, Harold, Alvin and Wilmer. Gladys will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday November 2, 2019 in Eganville at Zohr Family Funeral Home from 9:30am to the time of service at 11am in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in St. Stephen’s Anglican Cemetery, Perth. In lieu of flowers donations to Caressant Care Nursing Home, Cobden would be greatfully appreciated by the family.
