It is with great sadness that
the family of the late GILBERT G.
AYERS of Fortune announce his passing at St.
Clare’s Mercy Hospital in St. John’s on Monday,
October 7th at the age of 80. Leaving to mourn with fond and
loving memories are; son, Gilbert J. Ayers (Donna) of Toronto, ON;
sisters, Muriel Marks (William), Alma Dowding; brothers, Eric Ayers
(Nadine) & Melvin Ayers (Elizabeth); sisters-in-law, Shirley
Herritt & Sandra Ayers; 2 grandchildren, Steven &
Jennifer Ayers; plus a large circle of extended family and
friends. He was predeceased by his parents, George &
Tamsey Ayers; brothers, Henry & Edgar; brother-in-law, Roy
Dowding.
The Ayers’ Family will be accepting
visitors at Wiseman’s Funeral Home in Fortune on Wednesday,
October 9th from 10:00am to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Funeral
Service will be held at the St. Mary’s Anglican Church in
Lamaline on Thursday, October 10th at 1:00pm. Interment to follow at
St. Mary’s Anglican Church Cemetery,
Lamaline.
In
Gilbert’s memory, donations may be made to St.
Mary’s Anglican Church Cemetery Fund or flowers
gratefully accepted.
