Gerald William Riehl of Drumheller, Alberta, beloved husband of Karen Riehl, passed away suddenly but peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, October 9th, 2019 at the age of 72.
Jerry was born in Edmonton and raised on a farm in the Leduc area. After coming to Drumheller he met and married his wife, Karen, on June 14th, 1975. They started their family in 1978, raising all 5 children in the Drumheller Valley.
Jerry was known as a hard and industrious worker and spent many years operating heavy equipment. Everyone who met and knew him, loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Karen and his 5 children Andrew (Sharlie), Conrad (Robin), Kristen (Justin), Aaron (Kayleigh), Melody (Tyler), and his 4 grandchildren, Roman, Everleigh, and Harlow Riehl and Emerson Nickel. And 2 sisters Sharon Bendixen and Nora (Dennis) Pasko.
There will be a memorial service held on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at the Drumheller Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 207-17 Street NW, Drumheller.
Luncheon to follow at Canalta Jurassic Hotel Conference Room.
