Concepcion Militar Tanada, known to her friends as Conchit, passed away on October 25, 2019, at the age of 89. She was born on November 10, 1929 in Macalelon, Quezon, Philippines. Conchit was pre-deceased by her husband, Cirilo M. Tanada.
Conchit is lovingly remembered by her children, Cary, Cecil, Chilet, Chito, Cip and Emil as well as her daughter-in-laws and son-in-laws, Susan, Rodel, Joval, Jing, Lynette and Jermit. She is fondly remembered as Nanay & Lola by her grandchildren Mike and Olivia, Patrick, Adrian, Leanne, Josue and Roxanne, Cyril, Bea, Aaron, Therese, Paul, Serah, Kevin and Apple, Meg, Mica as well as her three great-grandchildren Corazon, Sophia and Gibby. She is also fondly remembered as Tia Conchit by her nieces and nephews.
Conchit was an active member of CWL in Diocese of Gumaca and served as President for 3 terms from 1998 to 2004.
A prayer service will be held on Friday, November 8, 2019 at 8 pm. followed by a funeral mass on November 9, 2019 at 11:30 AM at Immaculate Conception Parish – 8840 119 Street, Delta, BC, V4C 6M4, Canada.
A celebration of life will follow the funeral service at IC Delta Parish hall.
