Obituary of Anthony Angus Vanemberg
Anthony “Tony” Angus Vanemberg, 66 of Lucasville, passed away October 3rd, 2019; QEII Hospital Halifax. Born in New Glasgow he was the son of the late Ernest and Celestia (Izzard) Vanemberg.
He is survived by his loving wife Lila (Jones) Vanemberg; daughters Krista, Natasha (Earl), Toni (Georges) and Chantel; son Anthony (Jackie); sisters Antra, Linda, Penelope (Blair), Helen (Douglas), Gina (Roger) and Sandy (Joey); 10 grandchildren, for great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and special life time Friend Murray Williams, Ontario.
Besides his parents, Tony was predeceased by brothers Robert, Wallace (Moochie), Timothy; sister Velvet; maternal grandparents Archibald and Louise (Lawrence) Izzard; friends Andy McLeod, Hugie Grant, Malcolm Elliott and Edward Wilson.

A celebration of life service will be held October 15th, 2019 at 1pm, meet with the families at 12:00 pm, for an hour of remembrance prior to service both at the Upper Hammond’s Plains Emmanuel Baptist Church, 633 Pockwock Road, Upper Hammonds Plains, NS. With Rev. Dr. Lennett J. Anderson officiating. Burial will be in UHP Community Cemetery. Family Flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the UHP Emmanuel Baptist Church Building Fund. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4P 1B9 (902-679-2822).
