Obituary of Andrew Rourke
ANDREW ROURKE
1973 – 2019
Andrew died suddenly, on Saturday, October 19, 2019, as the result of a motorcycle accident near Markdale. Riding his bike was one of the many adventures he enjoyed in life, and so while his untimely death is a tragic loss to his family and community, we are consoled by the fact that he died doing something he loved.
Andrew is survived by his beloved family and a host of friends from around the world.
Andrew’s family will receive friends at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo on Wednesday and Thursday, October 23 and 24 from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm on both days. The funeral service to celebrate his life will be held at Creekside Church, 660 Conservation Drive, Waterloo, on Friday, October 25, 2019 at 11 am. The committal service will be held at Parkview Cemetery in Waterloo followed by cremation.
Condolences for the family and donations to Silver Lake Mennonite Camp, Multiple Sclerosis Society Grand River Chapter, House of Friendship or Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Foundation in Hamilton would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy and may be arranged through the funeral home, www.erbgood.com or 519.745.8445.
Following the committal service at the cemetery, family and friends are invited to return to Waterloo North Mennonite Church for lunch and a time to visit.
