Albert «Phonse» Alphonsus Simms
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Reverend Albert «Phonse» Alphonsus Simms announces his passing. Phonse passed away from the Health Sciences Centre, St. John’s, NL on Saturday, October 5th, 2019 at the age of 80 years.
Phonse is predeceased by his parents – Joseph and Mary-Anne Simms; brother – Harrison Simms.
Left with fond and loving memories is his wife of 58 years, Sheila Simms, Woodstock, NL; children – Paul (Debbie), Clyde, Kirk (Lisa), Bradley (Carol-Anne) and Karen; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sister – Kathleen Gillingham as well as numerous siblings-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Public visitation will take place from First United Pentecostal Church, Woodstock, NL on Wednesday, October 9th, 2019 from 2:00PM to 4:00PM and 7:00PM to 9:00PM.
Pastor Leonard Munn, assisted by Pastor Tyrone Ball will conduct the Funeral Service on Thursday, October 10th, 2019 at 2:00PM, interment will follow from First United Pentecostal Cemetery, Woodstock, NL.
As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted, or donations may be made in Phonse’s memory to First United Pentecostal Church Cemetery Fund, Woodstock, NL.
Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Foster Funeral Home, 22 Main Street, Baie Verte, NL.
