Obituary of Ronald Norman Yent
YENT, Ronald Norman
March 4, 1934-September 1, 2019
Ronald passed away peacefully at the West Haldimand Hospital, after a lengthy illness, in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Shirley (Baker) for 67 years. Loved father of Linda Yent, Jim and Sharon, Chris and Pat, Susan Major, Kathy and Keith Merritt and Tim and Liz. Dear grandfather of 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Floyd (Judy) and sister-in-law Judy. Predeceased by his parents Norman and Laura (Perry) and siblings Beatrice (Jack) Griffiths and brother Leslie. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Ronald was retired from Otis Elevator with 40 years of service. Special thanks to the nurses and doctors at West Haldimand Hospital for their excellent care and to our neighbours for their loving kindness. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, September 6 at 11 a.m. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Highway Chapel, Dunnville would be appreciated.
