A resident of Pain Court, Roland Robert passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 in his 56th year.
Roland was the son of Jessie (née McGregor) and the late Gerald Robert.
Beloved husband of Janice (née Laprise) Robert.
Dear father of Christopher (Chelsea) & Danielle «Dani».
Remembered in high regard with extreme love by his siblings, Michele (Bryan) Rodgers, Dave (Sue) Robert, Claudette (Jim) Watson, Paul (Yvette) Robert, Tom (Victoria) Robert & Louise (Rob) O’Neill.
Will be greatly missed by his brother-in-laws & sister-in-laws, Jackie (Dr. Ed) Nebel, Claudette (Marc) Rochon, Mitch (Gisele) Laprise, Gisele (Bill) Watson. As well as many close nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, extended family & many friends.
Roland was forever grateful for the close bond and «brotherhood» with Dave & Marc.
Forever missed by furry feline companion, Ned.
Roland touched a remarkable amount of people’s lives and loved his family dearly. He was always concerned for others and had unwavering faith. He displayed sheer perseverance & determination each and everyday. Roland had a passion for flying with an early career as a commercial pilot in agricultural aviation as well as aircraft maintenance (AME).
The Robert family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to his Personal Support Worker of 16 years, Diane Carroll, for her longtime dedication, care and friendship with Roland. As well as Dr. Craven, Dr. Carr and all of the staff at Toronto Lyndhurst Centre, Dr. Wolting and the staff at the Thamesview Family Health Team.
Family to receive friends on Sunday, September 8, 2019 from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham. A Memorial Mass to take place at Immaculee Conception Catholic Church, 24156 Winterline Road, Pain Court on Monday at 10:30 am. Cremation has taken place with a Private Family Interment at a later date.
Donations in memory of Roland may be made to Spinal Cord Injury Ontario or to a charity of your choice.
