DESMARAIS, Paulette Margaret (née Perrier)
June 27, 1946- September 18, 2019
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the sudden, but peaceful passing of Paulette Desmarais after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 38 years, Luc Desmarais, her loving children Christopher (Jody) Desmarais, Tammy (Dan) Demers, and Kristy (Ben) St.Jean. Loving Nana to Allyson and Jena Demers, Daxx, Atticus and Maddox Desmarais, Carter, Carson and Sadie St.Jean. She is also survived by her brothers Raymond (Sue) Perrier, Dennis (Beckey) Perrier, sister-in-law Linda Perrier, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Paulette is predeceased by her ever-loving parents, Romeo and Edith Perrier, as well as her brothers Romeo Jr. (Sonny), Wayne Perrier and sister-in-law Jeannie Perrier.
In Paulette’s world, her faith in God and love for her family were paramount. When most people were hanging Halloween decorations, Paulette was busy hanging Christmas decorations. Her “Jesse Tree” and village were decorated entirely from 50 years of gifted ornaments from friends, family and members of the community. When Paulette wasn’t playing baseball or supporting her beloved Toronto Blue Jays, she was opening her home to children in need through the Children’s Aid Society or playing Bingo. Paulette was the co-founder of the Knights of Columbus Woman’s Auxiliary, and songwriter of “Lonely Tears”, one of the Saturday Night at the Perrier’s greatest hits.
