It is with heavy hearts that the family of Muriel Winnifred (Vyse) Winegardner announce her passing on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at the age of 89 years. Beloved wife of the Late Arthur Winegardner (2015). Proud and loving mother of Robin Thompson (Donald) of Alberta, Marilyn Sawden (Charles) of Chatham, Nick Winegardner (Patti Shelly) of Embro and Arthur’s children Linda McCarty (David) of London and Barbara Philbrook (Ken) of St. Marys. Cherished grandmother of Tammy, Mark, Todd, April, Trevor, Colin, Karlee and many great-grandchildren. Muriel is also survived by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her first husband Norman Winegardner, 3 sisters Iona Vyse, Iola Heffren, Anne Davis and 2 brothers Harley and Burton Vyse. Friends and relatives will be received by Muriel’s family at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Friday, September 20, 2019 from 2:00 – 4:00 & 7:00 – 9:00 pm. The Funeral Service for Muriel will be held in Ostrander’s Chapel on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 11:00 am with Pastor Ted Derer officiating. Cremation will follow. Memorial donations to the Alzheimers Society or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the Winegardner family.
