Obituary for Morley Maurice Kilgren
Morley Maurice Kilgren of Cranbrook, B.C. passed away peacefully in his home on August 24, 2019 at the age of 92.
Morley was born in Regina, Saskatchewan on May 21, 1927.
Morley shared fond memories and stories about his earlier years of growing up in the Creston area and spending time on the farm with his family. He was the youngest of 7 siblings.
He is survived by his brother Ted of Kelowna, B.C. and numerous nieces and nephews.
Morley moved to Cranbrook in the early 70’s after the closure of the institutions.
He was a very well known member of the community. He attended the United Church, Friendship Group, was a Special Olympic Athlete, attended programs at the Community Living Center, REALM, and worked many jobs before his retirement.
Morley was a kind hearted man that touched the lives of so many.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Cranbrook United Church on Wednesday October 2, 2019 at
1:00 pm with a tea to follow.
An interment of Morley’s Urn will be held in Creston, B.C. October 10, 2019 at 11:00am honoring his families request.
