Memorial Donation
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Bridget Benoit (NEE Keough) announce her passing at her residence in Port au Port East on September 17, 2019 at the age of 85 years. Leaving to mourn with fond memories are her children: Lorraine ( Roderick) Duffy in Port au Port, Frankie Benoit in Stephenville, Bernie ( Yvonne ) Benoit in Nova Scotia, Phonse ( Della ) Benoit in Brampton, Aiden Benoit in Winnipeg, Mark Benoit in Toronto, Darren ( Florence ) Benoit Scarborough, George ( Eva ) Benoit in Winnipeg Sheila Cave in Toronto, Mary ( Terry ) Benoit in Port au Port, Jimmy Benoit in Port au Port, Tracey ( Robert ) Glasgow in Torbay, Dennis ( Krista ) Benoit in CBS, 27 Grandchildren, 7 Great-Grandchildren, and a large circle of family and friends. She was predeceased by her loving and wonderful husband James Bernard Benoit, and her eldest son Eric James Benoit. Visitation will take place at Maria Regina Parish on Thursday and Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm/Funeral service will take place at 11 am on Saturday, September 21 at Maria Regina Parish with Interment to follow at the RC Cemetery in Port au Port East.
A special thank you to mom’s NP Lorie Chaffey and nurse Melanie Alexander for their dedication and help with mom’s care. We would also like to extend a thank you to the nursing team that filled in throughout and to Roland Castillo, Adam Maddalena, and Korey Butt for stepping up to the plate whenever asked.. Thank you to all of moms caregivers over the years, a special thank you to MaryAnne Sheffield for devoting so much time to mom over the last 6 years and Sheryl Blanchard who worked with mom in difficult times over the last year.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Maria Regina cemetery fund or the Twilight 50 + Club.
