TASSONE, Maria (nee Monteleone) – The family of Maria Tassone are deeply saddened to announce her passing, surrounded by her loving family, at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Tuesday September 24, 2019 at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late Vito Tassone (2018). Dearly loved mother of Connie (Nino) Magliaro, Prudence Caldwell, Nancy Race, Nick (Alida) Tassone, Toni (Rod) Anderson and the late Nicolina ‘Nicky’ (2015). Cherished grandmother of Lina (Garrett), Mary (Paul), Nino Jr., Liam, Samantha (Nathan), Tereza (Chris), Nicholas, Tyler, Joshua, Ryan, Briana and Karissa and great-grandmother of Colton, Leia, Joseph and Casey Vitoria. Dear sister of Raffaela Tassone, Grazia Biamonte, Giuseppina Iudiciani, Bruno Monteleone, Paolina (Aldo) Mascaro, Assunta Rotundo and Frank Monteleone and sister-in-law of Nancy Monteleone and Arturo Mazzone. Predeceased by her sister Brunina Mazzone and brother Cosmo Monteleone. Maria will be lovingly remembered by her many in-laws, nieces and nephews and sadly missed by her good friend Mary Catanzaro. Maria was a devout parishioner of St. Ann’s Church for many years. She has a passion for cooking and gardening and enjoyed her trips to the casino, but her greatest passion was her family. Friends are invited to call at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. Niagara Falls, visiting Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 9:30 am at St. Ann’s Church. The Rite of Entombment will follow at Fairview Mausoleum.
