With sadness, we announce the passing of Maria on September 23, 2019 at the age of 93. She is now reunited with her beloved husband Antonio and son Peter. Cherished mother of Luisa (Gabe Torchetti) and mother-in-law of Gabriela. Proud nonna of Michael, Barbara, Tony (Alessia), Sofia, Vanessa, and Thomas and great-grandmother to Hope, William, and Jayden. She will be missed by her nieces, nephews and their families. Visitations will be held at Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin St., south of Lawrence Ave.) on Thursday September 26 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Charles Borromeo Church (811 Lawrence Ave. W., at Dufferin St.) on Friday, September 27, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. Entombment will follow at Westminster Cemetery (5830 Bathurst St., north of Finch Ave. W.). In memory of Maria, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
