It is with great sadness that the family of the late Linda Margaret Steele announce her passing on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 80 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Neil Offrey (Roger), Dorothy McCarthy (Duane), Michael Neville, Maxine McCormick (Mike), Wade Neville (Joy), Tony Steele (Marie), Darrin Steele )Jud) and Glen Steele (Veronica); grandchildren: Krista, Linda Jean (Gregory), Duane (Tanya), Terry, Tylor, Adam, Ryan, Sarah, Elizabeth and Michael; great-grandchildren: Cheyenne, Jacob, Jaden, Jonathan, Lily, Emily and Jewel; brother David Offrey (Evette); as well as a large circle of nieces nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Melvin Steele, parents William and Maxine Offrey, sisters Frances (Eli) and Harriett (Fred). Cremation has taken place. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 9 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church, Port au Choix with Father Raj officiating. Interment to follow at the Interfaith Cemetery, Sandy Cove. A reception will follow after the interment at the Sea Echo, Port au Choix. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation.
