Peacefully surrounded by love, our beloved husband, father and opa passed into the arms of his Saviour. He will be sorely missed by his wife of 60 years Joan. Loved deeply by his children Marian, Ronald (Rachel) and Wendy (Scott). Predeceased by son Andrew and grandson Cameron. Always remembered by his grandchildren Katrina, Cassandra, Rebekah, Alexandra, Andrew and Emma. Loved brother of Gerrit (Dicky) and Pieter (Tina) predeceased by sister Jozina. Will be missed by family in the Netherlands and Canada.
John’s faith in his Lord was never-ending and his life was a testament to his service.
Our deepest thanks to Dr Carlisle and Anna Lisa Voskamp for their care, the St. Joseph’s Dialysis Unit and 7th floor Nephrology team.
Visitation at Bay Gardens Funeral Home – «William J. Markey Chapel», 947 Rymal Road East, HAMILTON (905.574.0405) on Saturday, September 7th 219 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm and from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held at First Christian Reformed Church, 181 Charlton Ave W, Hamilton on Monday, September 9, 2019 at 1:00 pm. Burial to follow at Woodland Cemetery, Burlington.
