HILHORST, Hendrika. «Rica» – On Tuesday September 10, 2019, at Woodingford Lodge, Ingersoll, Rica Hilhorst of Tillsonburg was called Home to be with her Lord at the age of 84 years. Beloved wife and best friend for 63 years to Gerry Hilhorst. Loving mother of the late Gerry (2009) his wife Sharon of West Montrose, Julia of London, Joanne (Mike Underwood) of Sweaburg, and Bob (Nancy) of Sweaburg. Caring Oma of Danielle and Brittany Hilhorst. Survived by one sister, Lenie in Holland, predeceased by parents Cornelia(1985) and Gijsbertus(1977) Hartman and siblings, Berdina (1981), Reinera (1939), and Jacobus (1939). She will also be missed by the entire Hilhorst and Hoofd families in Canada and in Holland. Rica was a long standing member of the Catholic Women’s League(CWL). The family will receive their friends and relatives at Ostrander’s Funeral Home Limited, , 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221), on Friday, September 13, 2019, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. C.W.L. Prayers will be held at 4:00 p.m. Parish Prayers will be held at 8:45 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 51 Venison St W, Tillsonburg, at 10:00 a.m. with Father John Pirt officiating. Interment will be held in the Tillsonburg Cemetery. In Rica’s memory, donations to the St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy. A special thank you to Woodingford Lodge Ingersoll for the excellent care given to Rica.
