With sadness the family of Mr. Harold Bjornson of Westlock, AB announces his passing on September 16, 2019.
Harold is lovingly remembered by his spouse of 44 years, Jeanette and her sons: Jamie (Janis) and their children (Jonathan, Chantel, Darrel, and Holly) and Jordan; his daughter, Shelley (Ken) and their sons: Alex and Derek; two sisters: Joanne and Sharon (Karl); two nephews: Jeremy (Lisa) and their children (Isaiah and Elise) and Michael; one niece, Stephanie; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Halldor and Perla; brother Michael; and his nephew, Jon.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Hazel Bluff Community Hall.

Thank you to the Westlock Healthcare Centre and Westlock Continuing Care for the care he received over the last year. As well, a big thank you to Dr. Coma for his excellent care, and to Dr. Sholter, Harold’s rheumatoid specialist for over 20 years.
Harold was born on April 29, 1939 in Smeaton, Saskatchewan and attended school there until grade 12. He then attended the School of Agriculture at the University of Saskatchewan and made many friends who still keep in touch at reunions. He hosted the 2016 reunion in Westlock.
After he completed university, he went to work for Co-Op Implements in Sales in the Peace Country. This was the beginning of a career in the Agriculture business. Eventually he was a shareholder in Robin Farm Equipment in Westlock, Alberta. He was very proud to be a “pure” Icelander and had a special place in his heart for his home province of Saskatchewan. He had a keen sense of humor and could tell an entertaining story. He was proud of his daughter and son-in-law and even prouder of his grandsons.
Harold will leave a bare spot in the hearts and lives of those who knew him.
