It is with great sadness that the family of Violet Gwendolyn Foley, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, announces her passing on Thursday, August 29, 2019, at the age of 93 years. Gwen will be lovingly remembered by her children, Veronica (Ronnie), Maureen (Mo), and Christine (Chris); and her grandchildren, Glenn, Julie, Ian, Kris, Darren and Heather. She was predeceased by her sons, Tony and Derek. Gwen will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Born in Liverpool, England, Gwen immigrated to Canada with her family where she raised five children while being a working mom.
Our thanks go to the wonderful staff members at Mayfair Care Centre for taking such good care of our mother.
A Memorial Service in memory of Gwen will be held at Evan J. Strong Funeral Services (5502 2nd Street SW) on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 1:00pm.
