Born in Quarryville, he was the son of the late Caleb and Albertine (Landry) Gerrish. He worked in construction as a machine operator before his retirement and was a member of the United Church.
He will be greatly missed by his wife Anna (Moody) Gerrish of Quarryville; daughter Rebecca Gerrish (Bryan Colford) of Upper Blackville; son Michael Gerrish (Candiss) of Kilam, Alberta; sister Stella (James Stewart) of Quarryville; three brothers Lawrence (Nancy) of Quarryville, Lindsay (Lois) of Newcastle, and Herb of Quarryville; four grandchildren Spencer Gerrish, Riley Gerrish, Caleb Gerrish, and Harlem Gerrish; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters Edith McKnight and Yvonne Jardine, and brother Joseph Gerrish.
At Glen’s request, there will be no visitation. All are welcome to attend a graveside service at St Mark’s Cemetery, in Quarryville, on Tuesday, October 1, 2019, at a time to be announced.
