Gerald Frederick Eidt, of Hanover, passed away with his family by his side at Hanover and District Hospital on Wednesday, September 11, 2019. He was 75.
Born in Hanover, to the late Conrad and Lydia (nee Schuknecht) Eidt. Gerald was an employee for P & H Foods in Hanover for many years.
Survived by children Debbie (Wayne) Kieffer, John Eidt (Wanita Bauman) and Michelle (Dave) Goetz all of Hanover. Loved grandfather of Joshua (Amanda), Jessica (Justin), Jamie (Steve), Jenna, Brianna, Jarrett, Curtis (Tyisha), Travis (Emalee), Chantel, Danielle and great grandchildren Ryhan, Hayes, Ella, Michael, Delilah and Charlie. Fondly remembered by his brother Bill (Debbie) Eidt and sisters Marg Wells of Neustadt, Jeanie Weiler of Brantford and sister in law (Audrey) Eidt of Walkerton. Predeceased by his beloved wife Marilyn (nee Mothersell) and many siblings.
To honor his wishes, cremation has taken place with inurnment in Hanover Cemetery Columbarium at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover.
The family would appreciate memorial donations as expressions of sympathy to his granddaughter Brianna’s fight with Cancer. Please make cheques payable to her dad John Eidt for Brianna. The family wishes to thank Dr. Batten, VON Nurses Nancy, Wendy, Jovanna and others for supporting us to honour dad’s wishes of staying at home during his challenging times making him as comfortable as possible.
