Elsie Anna Young (DalBianco)
YOUNG, Elsie Anna (nee DalBianco) – It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother and grandmother, Elsie Young on Monday, September 9th, 2019, at the age of 87. Elsie was born on March 15, 1932 in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Elsie died peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her loving family at Ina Grafton Gage Nursing home in St. Catharines. Beloved wife of the late Glenn Young (1989). Elsie was the much loved mother of Judy (Rick) Hewko, Douglas (Dayle) Young, Linda (John) Donatelli, Barbara (Ted) Marfei and Sandy (Dan) Gordon. Proud Nona of Amy, Robert (Leah), James, Sarah (Ryan), Carla, Christopher and Nicholas. Our mom was incredibly courageous, resilient, and always with a smile and full of positivity. She loved nothing more than to be with her family and friends. Elsie is survived by her brother Guido (Willie) DalBianco. Predeceased by her brother Daniel DalBianco. A very special thanks to the staff at Ina Grafton Gage for all their care and compassion over the years.
The family will receive friends at MORGAN FUNERAL HOME, 415 Regent St., Niagara-on-the-Lake, on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. A memorial service to be celebrated at funeral home on Friday, September 13, 2019 at 11 a.m. Burial to follow in Niagara Lakeshore Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
