Carol Joy Watson
1951-2019
The passing of Carol Joy Watson, formerly of Blacks Harbour NB
occurred at Bobby’s Hospice, Saint John NB on September 5, 2019 with
her family at her side. Born in Blacks Harbour NB on August 7, 1951,
she was a daughter of the late Earl and Jessie (Shaw) Watson. A loving
mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Carol is survived
by her children: Cory Watson (Melodie), Jody McGrath (Richard), Jason
Watson (Gina) and Connie-Sue Berriault (Kevin) all of Saint John NB;
grandchildren: Jordan, Corie, Gabriel, Tanisha, Courtney, Karah,
Sierra, Lawson and Kaylee; great-grandchildren: Oliver, Mylah and
Jayden; three brothers: Eric «Buddy» Watson (Margaret) of
Blacks Harbour NB, Douglas Watson (Eloise) of Ludlow NB and David
Watson of Blacks Harbour NB; seven sisters: Shirley Cameron (Jim) of
Nova Scotia, Pauline Russell of Pennfield NB, Mary Richardson of Nova
Scotia, Jackie Young (Horace) of Pennfield NB, Margo McLean (Hal) of
Nova Scotia, Debbie Blanchard (Andy) of St. George NB and Kelly
Fellows (Danny) of Alberta; many nieces, nephews and cousins. In
addition to her parents, Carol was predeceased by her common law
partner: Russell Surette; and her brothers: Maurice, Arthur, Murray,
Keith and Paul.
Carol was a kind and caring soul who loved to be in the company of her
family and friends. She enjoyed playing Bingo, listening to Country
Music and going out for Dinner. In her younger years, she was employed
with Connor’s Brothers in Blacks Harbour NB. She will be sadly missed
by all who knew her.
Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26
Portage Street, St. George NB. Visiting will be held at the funeral
home on Saturday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. The service will be held from
the Pentecostal Lighthouse Church, Blacks Harbour NB on Sunday at 2:00
pm, followed by the interment at the Pennfield Rural Cemetery. In lieu
of flowers, donations to Bobby’s Hospice in Carol’s memory would be
greatly appreciated by the family.
