ONION, William “Bill”
Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love and support of his family on Monday, September 9th 2019 at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Joan (nee Ross). Loving father of Billy (Vicki Cassidy), Bruce (Carol) Onion, Cathy Onion, Brian (Arlie) Onion and Cindy Onion. Cherished grandfather of Nick, Holly, Jake, Thomas (Jeanne), Taylor, Trudy (Fraser), Becky (Matt), Ryan, Lora, Robert, Curtis and Turner. Proud great-grandfather of George. Bill will be fondly remembered by his sister Lea MacFarlane, his brothers in law, Richard Dulmage and Dave MacFarlane, his sister in law Bev Onion, many nieces and nephews and his special friends Blair and Arlene Bingley. Bill was also an admired friend of Bill W. He is predeceased by his parents Hubert and Laura (nee Greenley) Onion, and his siblings Phyliss Ann (Roy) Pershaw, Jim Onion, Rita Dulmage and Dave Onion. There will be a Celebration of Life taking place in the church hall of Trinity United Church, Smiths Falls on Saturday, September 14th, 2019 from 1:00 – 4:00pm. A private family interment to take place in New Brunswick at a later date. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Church or to Wheels of Hope.
