Arthur John (Art) Bolster, born August 20, 1934 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Humboldt, Saskatchewan, was called into the joyous arms of the Lord on August 31, 2019. Art is survived, and his memory forever cherished by, his loving wife of 38 years Evelyn Bolster; daughters Laura and Lynn; granddaughters Meagan and Kaitlan; great-grandchildren Hunter, Garrett, Caleb, Sadie, and Hannah; brothers Barney, George, Alfred; sister Darlene, as well as numerous other friends and family. He is predeceased by his parents Agnes and Jack, brother Murray, and Brenda from his first marriage. Art lived in Lewis Creek, Fort St. John, and Smithers, BC launching numerous entrepreneurial ventures before moving to Brownsville, Texas where he and Evelyn established a successful park with Max and Marilyn Pearson, 4 Seasons RV Resort. In 1996 they returned to Canada to retire in Vernon where they resided happily for the past 23 years. Aside from his many business successes, Art was an outgoing individual who enjoyed his chats with locals and loved to share his unique sense of humour. A Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at St. James Catholic Church (2607 27th Street, Vernon, BC). Memorial donations may be made to the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation (938 West 28th Avenue, Vancouver BC V5Z 4H4).
