Amalia Partipilo (Alvino)
Partipilo, Amalia (Alvino) – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beautiful mother Amalia Alvino Partipilo on Sept. 15 at the age of 89, peacefully at home surrounded by her family. Now she rests with her beloved husband Vincenzo (1997). She was an amazing mother to Mary (Anthony) Green, Gena (Ian) Elliker, Michael and Anthony Partipilo, Julia (Stephen) Spink. Cherished Nonna of Holly (Ryan), Anthony (Nadia), Charlene (Carmine), Brandon (Kim), Shawn (Jacinta), Cyra, Jonathon (Jaimee). Nonna of nine great grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Maria and Antonio Alvino, brother Federico and sister Rosa. Amalia came to Canada from Italy in 1957 settling in Niagara Falls. She touched the lives of everyone around her, graced us with her sense of humour while teaching us kindness, respect and love for each other. Amalia was happiest surrounded by family and friends, cooking and spending time together. She was also a huge leafs fan.
The family will receive friends at MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main St., on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral mass to celebrate the life of Amalia, will be held at St. Thomas More on Thursday at 12 pm. Burial at Fairview Cemetery to follow. Those who wish may make a memorial donation to the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada.
