Robert «Bobby» Joseph Hall
1939-2019
Peacefully, with his son at his bedside at the Saint John Regional
Hospital, Saint John NB, Robert «Bobby» Joseph Hall, husband
of the late Helen Marie (MacLaren) Hall, of Pennfield NB passed on
August 2, 2019. Born in Blacks Harbour NB on August 13, 1939, he was
the son of the late Lillian (Chalmers) Hall of England and the late
Wallace Burnham Hall. A proud husband, father, grandfather and
brother, in addition to his wife Helen, he is survived by one son;
Bishop Burnham «Burnie» and Leasa Hall of West Warwick RI,
three grandchildren; Robert Hall of Nashua NH, Sarah Jo Hall New York
NY and Justin M.F. Hall of West Warwick RI, one brother, Alonzo Hall
of St. George NB, sister-in-law, Ronah MacLaren of Petitcodiac NB and
several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents and
wife, Bobby was predeceased by one granddaughter-in-law; Jasmin
Hall.
Prior to his retirement, Robert was employed by the New Brunswick
Department of Transportation and was a longstanding member of the
Labourers International Union of North America Local 900. Bob was a
quiet man of simple pleasures who loved to provide a good-hearted
tease. He was always fond of spending time in the outdoors, especially
while hunting and fishing. In later years, he very much enjoyed being
out playing cards with friends and family.
Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26
Portage Street, St. George NB. Visitation will be held at the funeral
home on Sunday from 6-9 pm. A public graveside service will be held at
the Pennfield Rural Cemetery, Pennfield NB on Monday at 11:00 am with
Reverend John Martin and Bishop Burnham Hall officiating. In Robert’s
memory, donations to The Kidney Foundation of Canada or to a charity
of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by his family.
