Obituary of Peter Van Ryn
VAN RYN, Peter
Unexpectedly after taking ill while having family time at the cottage, Peter was transferred to Hamilton General Hospital, where he passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2019, in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Margaret for 56 years. Loved father of Kim and her husband Steve Fortman and Peter and his wife Janice. Cherished grandfather of Krystal Fortman (Kamil) and Olivia Van Ryn. Also survived by his brother John Van Ryn. Peter had a great love of fishing and enjoyed spending time at the cottage up North. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held the Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, August 12 at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow in Tapleytown Cemetery.
