Peter David Chernets
May 9, 1949 – August 19, 2019
Beloved wife of Karen (nee Carubba) for 37 years of marriage. Caring father to Kathleen (Adam), Peter, Charlie – all of Hamilton and Michael (Isa) of Vancouver. Grandfather to Emily of Hamilton and Etienne of Vancouver. Predeceased by his parents Peter and Alice and his in-laws Charlie and Joan Carubba. Loving brother of Eddie and Heather Chernets, Barbara Husul (the late Michael), Mary Farraway (Tom), the late Joe, the late Alice Murphy and Dan and Michael Chernets. Brother-in-law to JoAnne Folville (Dave), Charlie Carubba (Pat) and Joe Carubba (Tina). Peter will be sadly missed by many nieces’ nephews’ cousins and friends. Peter retired from the Dofasco and was an active member of C.O.P.D. Hamilton as well as the lung Association. Peter also spent his time advocating for clean air Hamilton. In Lieu of flowers donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated are the family.
Visitation will be held at Friscolanti Funeral Chapel (43 Barton St. E.) on Thursday from 2-4 and 6- 9 PM. A Funeral service will take place at Friscolanti Funeral Chapel on Friday, August 23 at 12 PM.
