Obituary of Linda LeBlanc
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Linda (George) LeBlanc, age 68,of Petit de Grat that occurred on April 11, 2019 at the QEII hospital in Halifax. Born in Arichat on April 29, 1950, she was the daughter of Mary Edna (McGrath) and the late Wilfred Ambrose George.
Linda was a dedicated daughter, wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family and friends dearly. She often spoke of the importance of family, and she was very passionate about passing on values and traditions she acquired throughout her life. Until her medical condition made it impossible, Linda enjoyed maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle. She also devoted many years caring for her mother, which spoke volumes of her patience and nurturing nature. Although she was raised as an only child, Linda considered her Aunt Lorraine George, and cousins Donna George, Gwen Fougere, Susan Pineo, Daphne MacDonald, Kimmie George, and Barry Miller to be an extension of her immediate family.
Left to mourn her passing are her loving husband Gerard; sons Barry (Heather), Brian (Darcelle); grandchildren Logan, Emma, Parker, Owen and Quinn. Besides her father, Linda was preceded in death by her infant brother, Barry. Memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Cremation has taken place. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 30, 2019 at 11am in St. Joseph’s Church in Petit de Grat with Father Michel Exalant presiding. Burial to follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, West Arichat. A reception will be held following the committal in St. Joseph’s Parish Hall in Petit de Grat.
