Kelvin Basil Wood

The sudden passing of Kelvin Basil Wood of Waasis, NB, husband of Esther (Stairs) Wood occurred on Thursday, August 8, 2019 in Hunter River, PE. Born on November 29, 1966 in Ottawa, ON, he was a son of Lillian (Titus) Wood and the late William «Vance» Wood. Kelvin was a member of the Christian Motorcyclist Association and was a dedicated volunteer with Atlanticade Bike Rally and Samaritans Purse.
Kelvin was skilled in the computer technology field and was employed with DND, CFB Gagetown as an
IT Admin.
In addition to his wife, Kelvin is survived by his sister, Gail Palmer (Barry);brothers, Michael Wood, Stephen Wood (Barbara) and Bradley Wood (Tanya); sister in law Sheila Wood; several nephews, one niece and extended family on both sides. Besides his father, Kelvin was predeceased by his brother, William «Hal» Wood.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Thursday, August, 15, 2019 at 10 am with Rev. Gordon Green officiating. Interment will take place at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Christian Motorcycle Association, Samaritan’s Purse or a charity of the donor’s choice.
