Karl Johann Pluecks
Pluecks, Karl Johann:
Passed away on Friday, August 23, 2019 at St. Mary’s General Hospital at the age of 89.
Beloved husband of Ursula (nee Schier) for 68 years. Loving father of the late George (Mary), Juergen (Johanna), David (Kim) all of Kitchener and Cindy Michelis (Joe) of Cambridge. Cherished Opa to Cheryl Ann, Christopher, Rae Lynn, Jonathon (Kirsten), Shawna (Garrett), Jasmine, Hudson, Jessilyn (Tyler), Lindy (Steven), Steven (Beth), and the late Gordie Butler. Great Opa to Grayson and Cooper. He will be dearly missed by his nieces, nephews and many good friends.
Predeceased by parents Anton and Josefine Pluecks, his brother Heinz (Wilma) Pluecks.
He retired from Uniroyal after many years of dedicated service. A favourite outing for Karl, was going to the Niagara Falls Casino.
Karl’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Thursday, August 29, 2019 from 10-10:45 a.m. with the memorial service in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow. Private cremation has taken place.
