McGowan: Joan Elaine – Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Orillia on Saturday, August 17, 2019. Elaine (South) McGowan of Beaverton was the loved companion of Bert Port and predeceased by her husband Edwin “Ted” McGowan. Loved mother of Debby (Lorne) Bell, Kevin (Diane) McGowan, Shelley (Mike) Peacock, Keith (Christine) McGowan and Kyle (Debbie) McGowan. Survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Family and friends will be received at Beacan Presbyterian Church, 413 Simcoe Street, Beaverton on Saturday August 24, 2019 from 9:30 am until time of memorial service at 11 am. Interment Stone Church Cemetery, Beaverton. If so desired, donations in memory of Elaine, to Beacan Presbyterian Church would be greatly appreciated by the family.
