Obituary for
Jack Evans
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jack Evans of Sangudo on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at the age of 87 years. Jack will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of 61 years, Lois Evans; his daughter, Susan Grigg and her husband, Gerry; his son, Richard Evans and his wife, Sharon and their children and his grandchildren, Benjamin and Kaitlyn.
Jack loved life and embodied both a strong work ethic and commitment to family. He had a great love of nature, the outdoors and sports. Jack proudly served his country in the Royal Canadian Air Force and saw active duty during the Korean War. He lived a full life, travelled the world, played many sports and had a family that truly loved him.
The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at the Mayerthorpe Healthcare Centre for their care and to extend their gratitude to all who reached out to them during this difficult time.
No formal service will be held. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Alberta Cancer Foundation or The Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation.
