Hon Chee Dong, age 89, of Edmonton, Alberta, died Friday, Aug 16, 2019 surrounded by his family.
Born Feburary 10, 1930, in Hoiping, Guangdong, China, he was the son of the late Bing Fat Ang and Hum Kai Ang, and the younger brother to the late Hon Chai Ang. Chee was a well-respected and successful businessman in Edmonton.
Chee is predeceased by his loving wife of 63 years, Jean; and survived by his five children and spouses; Richard (Joanne), Sylvia (Vincent), Jeffrey (May), Philip (Julie) and Lillian (Michael). Chee leaves behind his grandchildren, Diana (Jason), Raymond (Simona), Paul, Jordan (Jennifer), Jamie, Kristina (Sebastien), Kyle; his great grandchildren, Jonas, Alyssia and Mason. Chee also has many loving nieces, nephews and relatives.
A Funeral Service for Hon Chee Dong will be held at 1:30 p.m., on Friday, August 23, 2019 at Connelly- McKinley Funeral Home, 10011-114 St NW and an Interment to follow at Beechmount Cemetery, 12420-104 Street NW.
