Rose, Joseph Harvey
A resident of Leamington, formerly of Louisville, Harvey Rose passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Sun Parlor Long Term Care Home on Sunday, August 18, 2019 in his 95th year.
Harvey was the son of the late Wilfrid & Ida (nee Charron) Rose.
Beloved husband of Doreen (nee Cosbey) of 71 years.
Loving father of Kathy Fairbairn of Es, and David Rose of Chatham.
Grandfather of Monique Bechard (nee Rose) of Sarnia.
Great-grandfather of Devin Bechard of Sarnia.
Brother of Clara Jelovic of Chatham.
Predeceased by his siblings, Cecilia Bechard, Verna Sylvain, Lorraine Cartier, Evelyn Demers, Laurette Richie, Raymond Rose, Herman Rose & Peter Rose.
Missed by many nieces & nephews.
Harvey worked as a Grader Operator for Chatham Township for over 20 years. Servicing all the roads in Chatham-Kent, he was very well known by the local farmers and was a friendly face by all that knew him. He spent many years as an Elder within the congregation of Jehovah Witnesses of Chatham. Harvey enjoyed fishing with family and friends up in Manitoulin Island.
Family to receive friends on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham from 11:00 am until the Service time at 1:00 pm. Burial to follow in Arnold Cemetery.
