TOSWELL, Harold Duncan
Unexpectedly, but peacefully, at North Bay Regional Health Centre on Wednesday, August 14, 2019, at the age of 92. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Noreen (Piper) (1928-2019), by only forty days. He was the much-loved father of Catherine Minkowskyj (John) of North Bay, Paul Toswell of Nipissing and Martha Wood (Brian) of Bolton. Grandpa will be lovingly remembered by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Harold was the dear brother of the late John Toswell (Doris of North Bay). Harold was very active in the Powassan Masonic Lodge (443), serving in all chairs, and was recently celebrated for being a 60-year Grand Master. The Toswell family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan on Monday, August 26, 2019 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm; with a Royal Canadian Legion Tribute Service at 3:45 pm and a Masonic Lodge Tribute Service at 6:45 pm. Visitors will also be received on Tuesday, August 27 from 10:00 to 11:00 am, with the funeral service at 11:00 am. Cremation will follow. Private interment of ashes will take place at Nipissing Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to Nipissing Knox United Church or the Heart & Stroke Foundation are suggested (cheques only please).
