Mr. Gilbert ‘Gib’ Giroux
August 26, 1941 – August 20, 2019
Peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Anson General Hospital on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at the age of 77 years.
Loving husband of 57 years of Vivian (nee LeDuc). Cherished Father of Marc (Wendy) of Welland, Sylvie (Bob) of Iroquois Falls, Linda of Port Elgin, and Susan (John) of Iroquois Falls. Beloved Grandfather of Sharon Giroux, Shawn Giroux, the Late Jennifer McQuoid, Michelle McQuoid, Darcy Giroux, Randee Lee McDonald and Alexandra McDonald. Gib is also survived by his siblings: Gilles (Lynne), Huguette (the Late Jean-Guy), Maurice (the Late Judy) (Andrea), and Diane (Gord) as well as numerous nieces, nephews extended family and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents Hervé and Gilberte Giroux, his granddaughter Jennifer, his brother-in-law Jean-Guy, his sister-in-law Judy and his baby brother Noel.
In keeping with Gib’s wishes there will be no service. In Memoriam donations may be made to the Anson General Hospital Foundation (Palliative Care Room) and would be appreciated by the family.
