Obituary of Eileen Shirley Langstaff (nee Rude)
August 18, 1943 – August 26, 2019 – Age 76
It is with great sadness that Eileen’s family announces the passing of our Mom, Grandma and Friend.
Mom was full of life and love for her children, grandchildren, siblings and her large extended family. Mom taught all of us valuable lessons in life. People often comment on how close we are as family. We are that close because Mom was the Queen of our Family and she has instilled great values in us which we continue to pass down through our children.
Mom will be so greatly missed but we know she is at peace now. A phrase was given to us by a Beautiful Lady after Mom’s passing “In the end death came as a friend”. This phrase will help us all through these tough times.
Mom has gone to join her late husband Ken Langstaff in Heaven.
She leaves behind her children Sandy (Allan) Mason, Carol (Ted) Rycroft, Reid (Vicki) Floen, Denise (Jamey) Morgan; her grandchildren, Tina (Darcy) Hunt, Nikki (Dustin) Pierlot, Jasmin (Brent Might) Rycroft, Chance (Erin Campbell) Rycroft) Gary (Kelly Quinn) Dunkin, Skyler Floen, Daylan (Nicole Dunn) Morgan, Mackenzie Morgan, Ryder Morgan; 3 great grandchildren Decklyn and Grayson Hunt, Easton Rycroft and her siblings Dennis (Brenda) Rude and Joan (Chester) Sandboe, and Margie Rude.
Mom was predeceased by her Mom & Dad Otto and Agnes Rude, brothers, sister, and sisters in law, Irvin & Elsie Rude, Myron & Doris Rude, Floyd Rude and sister Doris Rude, along with many close nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give a huge shout out to the Doctors and Nurses who helped Mom and her family in such a kind, loving way. A special thanks to Dr. Santodomingo and Dr. Bertozzi.
For those wanting to gather with family on Thursday, August 29th from 7 to 9pm please meet us at Bear Creek Funeral Home, 11802 99 Avenue, Grande Prairie.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Christian Fellowship Assembly, 11449 92 Street, Grande Prairie on Friday, August 30, 2019 at 1 pm.
Memorial donations may be made in Mom’s name to Odyssey House, Box 1395, Grande Prairie AB T8V 4Z2 or to a charity of your choice.
