Obituary of David Oliver
John “David” Oliver of Hanover and formerly of Walkerton, passed away at The Village Seniors’ Community, Hanover on Monday, August 19th, 2019, at age 77.
Beloved husband of Jean (née Smith) Oliver.
Dear father of Brenda Merchant and her husband Rob and father-in-law of Debbie Oliver all of Walkerton.
Missed by his grandchildren, David Oliver of Teeswater, Nicole Beitz (Catlin) of Walkerton, Ryan Simmons (Lesley Cameron) of Chepstow and Jessica Simmons (Jason Wittman) of Walkerton and great-grandchildren, Kohen, Jack, Colton, Chase, Lilah, Nathan, Kailey and Kaitlyn.
Fondly remembered by sister Alice Smith of Clifford and several extended family members.
Predeceased by his parents, William and Helen (née Smith) Oliver, sons Charles (in infancy) and John Oliver and brother-in-law Donald Smith.
Visitation will be held at the Tiffin Funeral Home, Teeswater on Wednesday, August 21st, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., where the funeral service to celebrate David’s life will be held on Thursday, August 22nd, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., with Ann Maycock officiating.
Interment Smith Cemetery.
