Obituary of Daniel Joseph Phillips
Retired Locomotive Engineer
Peacefully, surounded by his family at his home in Keswick on Tuesday August 27, 2019, at the age of 71 years. Much loved husband and best friend of 40 years of Janice Phillips (nee Byce). Loving father of Michael (Brenda) of Oshawa, Terry (Catherine) of Pontypool, Kathleen (Chris Locke) of Toronto, Jessica (Shannon) of Fergus, Jennifer (Fernando Mendoza-Phillips) of Toronto and Andrew of Newmarket. Cherished ‘Grampa’ of Alyxzander, Samantha, Rebecca, Spencer, Charles, Grace, Lauren, Ryan, Rachel, Amy, Claire, Gerardo and Peyton. Dear brother of Charlie Phillips of Newfoundland, Raymond (Annette) of Niagara Falls, Patricia (Al Kofoed) of Nova Scotia, Cynthia (Neil Burns) of Barrie, and the late Rose Chapman. He will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses, staff and volunteers at the Stronach Cancer Centre and nurses from the S.R.T. Nursing Service for all your wonderful care and support. Visitation at the M.W. Becker Funeral Home, 490 The Queensway South, Keswick, Ontario on Wednesday September 4, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., followed by a Memorial Service in the Chapel at 12 noon.
