Catherine Anne O’Donnell (nee Noonan), of Mount Forest, passed away at Strathcona Long Term Care, Mount Forest on Monday, August 19th, 2019 in her 80th year. Beloved wife of Bert O’Donnell for almost 61 years. Loving mother of Donna Banton of Alliston, Julia and her husband Paul Belanger of Kingston, James O’Donnell of Wellington North, and Joseph O’Donnell and his wife Debbie of Mount Forest. Cherished grandmother of Sarah and her husband James, Stacy and her husband Matt, Jessica and her husband Lanicel, Janeen, Krista and her husband Shawn, Ashley and her husband Kevin, Kortney, and great-grandmother of 11. Dear sister of Mary Montgomery and Margaret and her husband Morley McLean. Predeceased by siblings Helen and her late husband Clarence Grimes, Peter Noonan, Gerald Noonan and John Patrick Noonan. Catherine enjoyed spending time in the community playing cards, golfing, bingo and bowling. She was a longtime member of the Catholic Women’s League and a volunteer driver for Cancer Patient Services. A mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Mary of the Purification Catholic Church, 230 Queen Street East, Mount Forest on Saturday August 24th at 11:30 a.m., with visitation being held at the church prior to the service from 10 – 11:15 a.m. Cremation to follow. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Cancer Patient Services or St. Mary of the Purification Catholic Church would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the England Funeral Home, Mount Forest.
