Obituary of Robert S. «Bob» Clutterbuck
CLUTTERBUCK, Robert S. “Bob”, of St. Thomas, passed away peacefully at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Friday, July 26, 2019, in his 76th year. Beloved husband for 49 years to K. Christina “Chris” (née Barry) Clutterbuck. Dearly loved father of Barb Ferguson (James), Bill Clutterbuck (Connie), and Bonnie Van Meppelen Scheppink (Paul). Cherished Grampy of Joshua and Riley Ferguson, Alicia, Emily, and Nick Van Meppelen Scheppink, Alyssa Schweyer (Jeremy), Caitlin Powell (David), Tamara and Joelle Clutterbuck. He was a proud great grandfather to Ada, Myah, Owen, and Nora. Brother of Perry Clutterbuck (Mary), Ray Clutterbuck (Marj), cherished by his sisters, Mary Gordon (Don), and Margaret Beecroft (Alex). Also fondly remembered by his sister-in-law, Barb Pinnegar, her son, Christopher (Julie), as well as many nieces and nephews and their families. Born in St. Thomas, ON, on May 27, 1944, he was the son of the late Douglas and Florence (née Lethbridge) Clutterbuck. Bob farmed for many years and was also a former employee of the Real Canadian Superstore in St. Thomas. He was a member of Holy Angels’ Roman Catholic Church. There will be no public visitation at the funeral home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Angels’ Roman Catholic Church, 502 Talbot St., St. Thomas on Tuesday, July 30th at 10:00 a.m. Following cremation, interment will take place at the Holy Angels’ Cemetery. Memorial donations to the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital Foundation re: Continuing Care Unit C will be gratefully acknowledged. Arrangements entrusted to the SIFTON FUNERAL HOME, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160).
