Surrounded by his loving family,
Patrick «Trackie» Brooks of St. Mary’s First
Nation passed away at home on July 5th, 2019 at
the age of 51. Born in Fredericton, he was a son of the late Mark and
Tina (Meuse)
Brooks.
Trackie will be deeply missed by his
loving wife of 23 years, Barbara Jean Casey Brooks of Fredericton.
Their children, Megan R.C. Brooks and Owen P.C. Brooks will forever
cherish him, as well as his brothers and sisters, Linda Verruyt (Bart)
of British Columbia; Frank Brooks (Lorraine), St. Mary’s;
Randy Brooks (Sheila), St. Mary’s; Dorothy Hanson (John),
St. Mary’s; Alice Paul of St. Mary’s; Mark Brooks
Jr. of St. Mary’s; Tom Brooks (Phyllis), St.
Mary’s; Sandra Adamen of St. Mary’s; Douglas
Brooks (Stella), St. Mary’s; Ida Henry (Daniel), St.
Mary’s; Cecil Brooks (Laurie), St. Mary’s; Arnold
Brooks of St. Mary’s; Richard Brooks (Jeanie), St.
Mary’s; Walter Brooks (Barb), St. Mary’s; Dion
Brooks (Heather) of Fredericton; Cindy Brooks (Sheldon), St.
Mary’s; Dana Brooks (Willa) of Fredericton; Toby Brooks
(April) of Fredericton; Billy Brooks (Jeannie) of St.
Mary’s. Half-brothers Gordon Nash (Sue) and Stephen Nash
(Jennifer). He also leaves behind his much-loved in-laws, Peter and
Sheila Casey, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was
predeceased by his parents, uncle Dick, and cousin
Billy.
Trackie’s life revolved
around spending time with his family, listening to the best music,
joking around, and spreading his love. He was well known for his
helpfulness, his humour, his hard work, and his dedication. Some of
his best memories include dressing as Santa Claus for many years, and
building the best Halloween
costumes.
Resting at Bishop’s Funeral
Home, 540 Woodstock Road, on Tuesday July 9th,
2019, from 2-4pm & 7-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be
held at St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday,
July 10th, 2019 at 3PM with Father Curtis
Sappier and Father Martin Arputham officiating. Interment will be held
in the church
cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may
be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of the
donor’s
choice.
